With over 140 acts in 25 venues, EuroSonic presents a broad variety of the best new Dutch and European talent. With a number of big European booking agents, the 41 ETEP-festivals, the EBU, Yourope, IMMF Network Europe supporting the programme, EuroSonic is the most extensive and progressive showcase festival in Europe.
During these three days in January, Groningen is the epicentre of the European music scene when 180 bands and 1800 professionals get together for one of the most important European showcase and network events.
EuroSonic 2006 features three Finnish acts that have gained substantial amounts of hubbub amongst international professionals and audiences alike: Aavikko (SAM AGENCY) brings their “supergroovy supermarket party music from Hell”, while Astrid Swan (DELPHIC RECORDINGS) soothes the audiences with her brooding, orchestral singer-songwriter pop. After this it’s about time for Disco Ensemble (FULLSTEAM RECORDS) to annihilate Groningen with their modern, hook-laden punk rock.
