Finnish companies have visited Japan since the 90s and Music Export Finland has organized Finland Fest since 2006. Dozens of bands and companies have travelled to Japan to get new fans and create new business relationships. During the years, around 100 Finnish bands and artists have released their albums in Japan by various local labels.

As in previous years, Finland Fest includes live music showcases and a business day.
