A Finnish-Japanese trade event and showcases create buzz in Tokyo
Finnish Music Days in Tokyo is an opportunity to meet representatives from 21 top Finnish music companies: Labels, publishers and agents are bringing forth the abundant talents in pop, rock, electronic, world music and metal. Along with the music trade event at JETRO on Friday, May 26th, Finnish Music Days in Tokyo will ship seven top Finnish bands to Japan’s capital for intense showcase performances in Duo Music Exchange and Liquid Room.

Hottest Finnish acts showcasing
The Metal Showcase kicks off the event at Liquid Room on Wednesday, May 24th. The showcase will feature flammable performances by death metal tornado Norther (Spinefarm Records), the maestros of catchy trash metal Amoral (Spikefarm Records) and melodic death metallers Pain Confessor (Johanna Kustannus).
The famed glam rockers Private Line, are kicking monitor wdges at Duo Exchange on Thursday, May 25th, with the beautiful pop group Mummypowder (Rubato Music), grooveholic hip hoppers Don Johnson Big Band and the world’s first MobileJockey Slow (Plastinka Records), who plays his dj-set with just two Nokia N91 phones and an XP10 stream controller.
Both showcases are promoted by CreativeMan.
Japanese professionals will receive a teaser on Billboard Magazine’s May 6 issue which will feature a cd with a wide selection of music from the companies attending Finnish Music Days in Tokyo. The cd will be delivered to all Japanese subscribers of the Billboard Magazine.
