Music & Media (Musiikki & Media in Finnish) is the annual Finnish music trade fair, with number 16 now being staged in Tampere, Finland. This year’s event will be more international than ever, with over 50 international delegates attending the event.
Music & Media unifies the entire variety of Finnish recording, publishing and live music industries and seeks to bring into focus the energy and innovation of this industry both in its home country and internationally. Its place of residence in Hotel Ilves has provided an apt meeting ground for the industry’s top professionals to learn and share ideas about topical subjects. This takes place through a series of organised seminar sessions and panel discussions led by leading professionals. Music & Media also offers a unique, spine-tingling opportunity for professionals to view showcase performances by a broad spectrum of Finland’s hottest new artists.
This was incredibly well organised. I’ve been to a lot of conferences and this was definitely the best organised one I’ve attended. I thought the panels were great and covered a broad range of topics

It was an excellent opportunity for me to get a glimpse of the Finnish music industry
Ayako Ohi, JVC Victor Entertainment, Japan
Every showcase act we saw showed a level of performance ability and commitment that was admirable, and often lacking in UK acts
David Balfour, Record Of The Day, Issue 99
SHOWCASES: THE HOTTEST FINNISH TALENT!
