Popkomm is back! Popkomm is one of the largest international meeting places of the branch attracting key players, innovative companies and country stands from all over the world. Whilst the focus lies on Germany and Europe Popkomm exhibitors come e.g. from the US, Australia and South America. Also, Eastern European Countries are drawn to Berlin, confirming its position as the “Gateway to the East”.
Popkomm 2010 will take place in an extraordinary venue between 8th and 10 th of September: the now decommissioned airport Berlin Tempelhof. When built in 1923 it was the world’s largest integrated building complex (and still 3rd after Peking Airport and the Pentagon). Popkomm 2010 will take place in the impressive main entrance hall and former departure gates.
The Popkomm conference is future oriented and asks the most important and contemporary music business questions. Experience top class keynotes and far-reaching panels where quality and topical discussions focus on themes that directly affect the business. Listening sessions will also be part of the conference where artists will have the chance to showcase their talent. On the public day discussions will especially focus on issues relevant to consumers and artists. The conference will provide several workshops and training sessions.
The festival takes place from 8th – 10th September 2010 and is a stepping stone for unknown artists and newcomers who will have the chance to play along with international headliners.
Finland at Popkomm 2010
To start off the Finnish bookings for this year's Popkomm Finland's wild synth duo Jesse has been confirmed for Berlin Festival to perform alongside Editors, LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Tricky, Peaches and many others!
