"K-X-P are operating in similar territory to the likes of Trans Am, Add N To (X) and Zombie Zombie, erecting fields of electronic noise under which muscular, organic rhythms pound with an almost Metal intensity." – The Wire
The stunning three-piece, fronted by Annie producer Timo Kaukolampi, leans towards kraut, noise and minimal groove, combined with hypnotising synth sounds and melodies.
Every now and then are new bands, who give the sonical finger to everything which is considered as 'cool' by the press and blogosphere, yet manage to create something unique and fascinating. Not to mention appealing to the aforementioned against all odds. Check out K-X-P and you'll notice you've come across one of them.
K-X-P's debut, released in July through the renowned Norwegian label Smalltown Supersound, comprises elements from kraut rock, noise, electronica and even jazzy groove.
