Music Export Finland is seeking a fixed-term producer for the Nordic partnership programme 2010-2011

The aim of Music Export Finlandis to help the Finnish popular music industry increase its income from abroad. The flagship music export project for 2010–2011 focuses on the Nordic countries.

We now seek a fixed-term producer for our Nordic partnership programme 2010-2011

This fixed-term, full-time producer will be responsible for work to export Finnish popular music in the Nordic countries: customer contacts, marketing communications as well as projects and financing programmes under the partnership programme. This export and sales professional will most likely be based in Stockholm.

We require our producer to be a goal-conscious person with an innovative approach and a passion for marketing communications and developing exportation of Finnish popular music. In addition, we require knowledge of music sector professionals and earnings logics. Understanding of the structures of society and administrative practices is an advantage.

Our producer is rich in ideas, able to shoulder responsibility, works effectively as a team member and gets along with people splendidly. The successful candidate is motivated on the job and has the ability to motivate others. Applicants should have at least three years’ work experience of tasks involving responsibility in international trade and/or the music business.

Our producer will also have very good command of both Finnish and English. Proficiency in the Nordic languages, especially fluent Swedish, is a plus. Knowledge of the key professionals in the Nordic music sector is also an advantage. We also value a Master’s degree. These, however, are not absolute requirements.

The successful producer will have a good overview of the media and communications tools, a good capacity to withstand pressure, a good sense of humour and the ability to keep everything under control even when rushed.

The producer for our Nordic partnership programme will start preferably on 15 August 2010 or as agreed.
