Sommelo and Kaustinen Ranked Among 25 Best World Music Festivals

Sommelo Festival and Kaustinen Folk Music Festival were chosen it into the Top 25 of the international world music festivals. The list, compiled by the British Songlines, was published in the June issue of the magazine. Internationally renowned Sommelo, which kicks off in Kuhmo, Finland, and continues in Uhtua and Haikola, Russia, is held for the fifth time on July 1st–5th. Kaustinen is the oldest folk music festival of the Nordic Countries. The 43rd edition takes place on July 12th–18th.
