FINLAND FEST 2008 IN TOKYO
27-30 MAY, TOKYO
Music Export Finland and the Finnish Music Information Center are organizing a music export event, complete with showcases, in Tokyo, 27.-30.5.2008. The two organizations seek to develop the way Finnish music is marketed in Japan, with the help of training seminars and showcases. This approach has proven fruitful. Based on the amount of contracts and contacts forged during past events, the movers and shakers of the Finnish music business find Japan an attractive market and the Japanese are interested in what Finland has to offer, musically.
The Finnish Embassy in Tokyo, the local Finpro office and the Finnish Institute in Japan are cooperating in the project too, so all the central actors in the scene are involved. This is a great opportunity for Finnish music business people to meet their Japanese contacts, show their wares and engage in some concrete wheeling and dealing.
